SPLASH! Waterplay Works Extended

The improvements to the drainage at SPLASH! Waterplay will be continuing for slightly longer than planned. This means that the attraction will remain closed for approximately 10 days. The improvements will mean that the drainage system does not become clogged with silt and debris, so we’ll have cleaner water and the facility will be able to stay open longer without the drains being unblocked – so it’s definitely worth the time being spent here!

SPLASH! should be open in time for the decent weather that we’re all looking forward to! In the mean time, don’t forget to come back here regularly to check for updates!

Willow Den Reweave Planned

Many of you were involved in the willow den building session last February in Millhouses Park, braving the snow and sleet! Hopefully this time the weather will be kinder, but we will be there rain or shine if you fancy a morning pruning and reweaving the structure so that it will be good for another year. There will be tree planting after lunch too.

Look forward to seeing you on 16th Feb, see flyer for details HERE.

Sheffield Star Cycleway Article

The Sheffield Star has published a great article on our new Kid’s Cycleway! See what you think – click here!
The article was also printed on the front page of the Gazette this week – so some decent coverage. The cycleway has certainly been getting some good use since Christmas – it seems that lots of children got bikes this year!

Energy Share Final Scores on the Doors

Thanks for your votes on the Energyshare Website! Unfortunately we didn’t quite make it and were pipped at the post by the North Devon Hospice who want a large solar photovoltaic array, and Shrewsbury Hydro who want a micro-hydro scheme on the River Severn. There’s a table in one of these photos which shows the final scores for all the entrants and shows how many people actually voted for us! Thank you to all of you who voted and to Radio Sheffield, Active8 and Marishka Van Steenburgen for her excellent article.
