We are pleased to invite you to the opening of the sensory garden in Millhouses Park by Councillor Sylvia Dunkley on Friday 1 October at 10.00 a.m.
This area of the park has proved to be an oasis of calm and tranquility and the herbs and scented plants have really been appreciated by all our visitors this year. The wild flower garden, planted by friends and park staff, has been an enormous success.
The central planter, plus the recent addition of the two seats and pergola, was made at Ecclesall Saw Mill from locally sourced oak. The new sign, which includes Braille, has brought us almost to the completion of the garden.
Many thanks are due to all our sponsors, to the park staff and numerous Friends of Millhouses Park who have worked so hard on this project.
We look forward to seeing you. R.S.V.P. kate.stow@gmail.com
