As Autumn sets in we have a a couple of upcoming events in the park.
Firstly, on Sunday 11 October, 10.00-12.00, we will be undertaking a clean up with the Rangers. The Rangers will be supplying any necessary equipment – meet at the cafe at 10.00 to join in.
Secondly, on Saturday 7th November, 10.00-12.00, we will be Autumn gardening. We will clear and dig over the Sensory Garden and herbaceous border. Tools supplied but bring your own forks, secateurs and gloves if you can.
Again, meet at the cafe at 10.00 to join in.
All help is welcome at both events, it would be great to see some fresh faces, come along and meet us, don’t be shy!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the clean up; it was good to see such a great turn out. Together We collected 20 bags of litter and pulled up some of the rampant balsam, leaving the park and river looking pristine. The issue of dog owners not cleaning up after their pets remains a big problem. We urge all to help keep the park clean and safe for everyone.
Friends of Millhouses Park have organised a park clean up on Sunday 21st June 10-12. Meet at cafe at 10. Rangers will be present and all sacks, litter pickers and gloves will be supplied. All volunteers welcome.
