Thanks to everyone who participated in the clean up; it was good to see such a great turn out. Together We collected 20 bags of litter and pulled up some of the rampant balsam, leaving the park and river looking pristine. The issue of dog owners not cleaning up after their pets remains a big problem. We urge all to help keep the park clean and safe for everyone.

Six Friends of Millhouses Park volunteers and two-year-old Freddy have planted up the sensory garden octagon with herbs kindly donated by Ferndale Garden Centre. We Need You
The Friends of Millhouses Park (FoMP) have helped raise funds and, working with Sheffield City Council, the Park has seen many improvements in recent years.
It is great to see so many families and people enjoying our wonderful Park.
But there is still work to be done to keep the Park and the Playground a place for everyone, young and old, to enjoy all the fantastic facilities. With this in mind, FoMP are looking for people/families to join us with new ideas for future projects, enthusiasm for fundraising and to help continue to keep our Park a great place for everyone to visit and enjoy.
If you think you might like to be actively involved, an informal meeting is to be held at the Waggon and Horses, which is next to Millhouses Park on: –
Friday 30th January 2015 at 7.30 pm
Please come along and join us to find out more.
If you cannot make it but would like to get in touch, please email:
