The grand opening of the Millhouses Park Zip Wire was on 5th November. Now children visiting the park have a huge variety of play equipment on the site of the old Lido!
As will all our official openings, the heavens opened and it poured! Did it put us off? No, never and we all enjoyed an hour with a lot of laughs. Our Lord Mayor zipping off down the wire was sporting to say the least … but that is the Sylvia we all know and the Sylvia who has done so much for our Park.
These are just a few pictures taken on the day in dreadful conditions so the quality is not of the best. More will be available from the Star who sent a photographer and reporter to cover the story. These will be loaded up to the website as soon as practical and issued round the whole group. Anyone wanting higher quality pictures please do ask.
Thanks to everyone who turned up, the Pudding Ladies for a lovely spread afterwards, particularly to Kate who found the funds and drove the project through and our partnership working through Miriam (SCC) who delivered the goods.
