Summer Clean Up Success

Thanks to everyone who participated in the clean up; it was good to see such a great turn out. Together We collected 20 bags of litter and pulled up some of the rampant balsam, leaving the park and river looking pristine. The issue of dog owners not cleaning up after their pets remains a big problem. We urge all to help keep the park clean and safe for everyone.

Planting in the Sensory Garden

Six Friends of Millhouses Park volunteers and two-year-old Freddy have planted up the sensory garden octagon with herbs kindly donated by Ferndale Garden Centre. Wild flower seeds, donated by Pictorial Meadows of Manor Oaks Farm, were sown alongside the entrance path to the sensory garden. Many thanks to both organisations.

Spring Bulbs

These beautiful bulbs were donated by Ferndale Garden Centre and planted by a group of Friends of Millhouses Park in the autumn. There has been a good show of crocus and snowdrops as well. Thanks again to Ferndale Garden Centre for their generous support.
